As one of the "offical" Bootmoon series of Tangerine Dream Live, this one was recorded at The Guild Hall, Preston, UK on 5th November 1980, and like all the others is meant to be a limited edition of around 10,000 copies (mine was numbered "00386"). Although the sound is a little flat, obviously from being recorded from the auditorium, the audience noise is minimal, but the overral effect is still very enjoyable. The second CD I feel is the best, with the classic Edgar Froese 10 min plus guitar solo building up with the usual complex sequences that were common (if not expected) at TD concerts at that time. There is about 2hrs worth of music split into two session, with two encores, and it certainly reflects the feel of being at a TD concert (as long as you crank the volume up on your HiFi!). This is the first CD in the series I have bought, and I would rate it 8/10 as compared against other offical live releases. A must for die hard TD fans who remember the late 70's/early 80's years.Read full review
