One of my hobbies is putting things together. I started small with the electric and bass guitar models, then did the drum set and grand piano, then decided to try my hand at Iron Man. Right off the bat I knew that this one was going to be the hardest one I've done. Just about every piece of this is hard to put together, but you just have to be patient with it and keep trying until you are successful. The big disclaimer about this model is when it says on the box "No glue or solder needed". I had three separate pieces break on me when I was putting them together, either because they were bent too much or too weak when I took them off the sheets, or even when I put them together, like one of the backs of the lower legs. I was able to get all these together, but not without using super glue. You can still get the pieces together and super glue anything that breaks and it will look like nothing even happened. I came home from work every night for three straight nights and tackled this project, and after about 12 hours of working on it, it all came together and looked awesome. All I need to do now is buy a couple of light displays and put them on both sides of it and light it up on one of the shelves in my living room. Sometimes working on something this challenging will take a lot out of you, but in the end it's worth it.Read full review

Folding the tabs together was a chore and the stand snapped during assembly. I would not recommend these cheap pieces of junk to anyone.

I enjoyed building this. The instructions were OK but could be a little better in some spots. The finished product is pretty impressive. Took about 15 hours to complete.

Metal models are so much fun to put together. They can range from simple to difficult, I recommend that you start with an easy one. But all in all they are hours of entertainment! Some instructions come in other language but they can still be assembled with picture diagrams.

Most Metal Earth models are somewhat fragile. They are not meant to be played with but rather displayed. The Iron Man model is very detailed with small parts to work with. I had trouble with the arms at first so really study the instructions. Not for a beginner but fun and challenging for an experienced builder.
