Compatible with other wrench brands
I needed a kit for a 3/8" square drive swivel head ratchet wrench of a different make and could not easily source the kit in the UK. This item proved almost perfect: the ratchet fine tooth gear block was a perfect match and although listed for a 1/2" application, the heart shaped spring was also a perfect replacement for the 3/8" version. What a great find; I have put 10 years of service back into a used wrench and made a very experienced mechanic (who owns this) very happy indeed. The screw supplied was not compatible but the original was fine so this is a wonderful success. The part should include advice on spring lubrication for any re-build. I used a small amount of black high melting point grease i.e. suitable for CV joints etc. This kind of lubrication can extend the life of the ...
