Guidance on replacing battery to first view
The screwdrivers enclosed are all too small. TheYou Tube Video by TECHNOLOGY TIPS thoroughly explains how to replace the battery & gives size of screwdriver to use. Unfortunately, I did not see this video & the plastic prong enclosed broke & in using a screwdriver I damaged the buttons on one side but fortunately the other side buttons are ok. I found that my second smallest flat watchmakers screwdriver could be used to remove the screws holding the battery. The battery has worked well so far.The screwdrivers enclosed are all too small. Battery difficult to replace only due to getting into kindle
The hardest thing is to get the back off the kindle and the whole thing apart. Followed you tube instructions which was good. Those kindles have glue everywhere, be warned and very small screws. Battery works well when eventually replaced, so overall battery product itself was great.

Tools not suitable
The battery itself may be fine but the supplied tools not. The plastic device to lever off the back snapped so I had to use a knife. The screwdrivers didn't fit so I had to take it to a shop for assistance (supplier offered small refund to compensate). When I eventually managed to fit the battery I got a msg to say my reader was damaged and needed repair so in the end I bought a new reader.

Easier than I thought
Thought my kindle was totally dead but this replacement plus the little tool kit enabled me to resurrect it. Best to watch YouTube videos on dismantling kindles and use the tools in the kit before trying. Also the existing battery is glued in so it needs gentle persuasion to come out.
