A good alternative to a sheet of sandpaper
A really excellent scraper set including a burnishing tool (used in the re-sharpening the scrapers), makes this a real value for money bargain. Proops having been supplying hobbyists with the tools to do the job for many years and have a good reputation for quality and price. Why scrapers instead of sandpaper? You get a finer finish on the wood.

It is ideal for the job
I lost a scraper that I had been using. The Proops scraper is a fine replacement. It does need to have the edges treated in order for the performance of the tool to be as required. There are YouTube videos available giving instruction on how to do this. I actually used emery paper on a glass surface to create the sharp edges. I use the scraper to clean up my wooden food chopping board.

the bunisher is too soft compared to the scrapers, and it separates too easily from the hsndle.
