    Great camera

    I bought this camera as a start to my photography hobby. For quite a long time I've used my dad's 20D and various other cameras owned by my friends. It's great value for money and although it doesnt have quite as many features as some newer cameras it still takes photos just as good. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone taking it up as it's a great camera for a great price. Unfortunately good lenses aren't as cheap! And if you don't like the camera or don't use it much it is reasonably weighty and strong so makes a good doorstop or potential weapon.

    Update to Canon EOS 50D

    Wow! What a superb camera this is - I updated from Canon EOS 40D (which I found to be fantastic) and found the main improvements to be:- Much better resolution on the screen. Higher ISO available so can shoot in less light. 15 Megapixels so better images and easier to crop images. It looks and handles like the 40D so was extremely easy to get used to and I am absolutely delighted with it.

    great up grade.

    Good pro Camera. been using the 10D for three year. some pictures have gone around the world. setting are easy. basic. nice large screen than the 10D. lighter too. No Cons if one doesn't like it that up to them. it not about the camera but the pictures. PS I need a larger cm card. Is a battery drainer. I use it at iso 800 with average results.and want to test the white noise in different conditions.

    Good solid camera

    I wanted a second Canon - I already have a 70D. This one has a very high shutter count but what actually mattered to me was the excellent visual condition of the camera. However, I have noted that focus in 'live view' seems impossible to obtain. This does not matter to me much as I did not buy it to use live view. Too early yet to say what I think of the cameras performance, but so far I am pleased with the pictures I have taken.
