Worst than soviet microscopes
It's really cheap as a metalurgical microscope. But you don't even get what you pay for.. It is really badly made. One side mirror was really badly glued and even split. And it is mounted in a way that when you look through the eyepiece it narrows the field of view. I will have to remake it somehow. The lamp is too weak (I analyze wood charcoal) so I had lamp block remade to be able to work with a lamp of higher wats. The iluminator part (the light tube) has a diafragm that is badly centered. I replaced lenses and eyepieces with the ones from my biological microscope. I guess they are not as bad as everything else but the parts from my 200 Eur Optica microscope where even better. When you disassemble the microscope everything looks like it was made in a garage in North Korea. I needed the ... It's really cheap as a metalurgical microscope. I needed the metalurgical microscope badly for my disertation and don't have the funds for a more expensive one so I made it usable at least for now. If you are in a same situation as me - then try it and support Indian underground microscope factory. But be prepared for worst.
