This was bought not as a conversion but as a direct replacement for the fitting which was fitted to the loft hatch when we bought the property. The central bolt of soft plastic/nylon whatever was split through the middle of its length. Previously the steel nuts had been overtightened causing the thread to be stripped. Anyone considering to buy this fitting, it does the job. BUT do not overtighten the steel nuts on the soft plastic/nylon screw threads. I had no need to contact the seller.
