Both modules were tested and work flawlessly, but, unfortunately, because of a SINGLE broken pin (I have no idea how it happened) in the LOWER RAM slot of my daughter's, late-2011, 13-inch MacBook Pro, we can actually use only ONE of them. The GOOD news, though, is that the FULL 8 GB of RAM, installed in the UPPER RAM slot, is both recognized and utilized by the MBP! Thank you so much!
