Synopsis

An illicit love affair with a white landowner leaves Famie with a son to raise. Her dream is that Joel will someday become accepted into white society. But in her struggle to transcend race and class Famie must sacrifice the last links to her past., The moving story of love in a Cane River community bound by race and class.     great price for a well known New Mexican folk carver. Took 2 weeks to receive my purchase but it was the USPS fault. They bounced it from major city to city and the Phoenix distribution center sent it out of state twice after they received it rather than sending it to my local PO. But the wait was well worth it. Had to have the USPS track it down before receiving it. If the seller has any more carvings by New Mexican carvers at this price, I will buy again.
