    Poor quality, wouldn't recommend or buy again!

    Like the plastic body, as it won't rust. The engine at times seems starved of fuel, difficult to start and keep running smoothly.

    Good for the Price

    Lightweight and easy to start. The engine is a Stiga WBE120 123cc aluminium block four stroke (Italian company formerly called GGP Spa who bought out the garden machinery arm of the Swedish conglomerate Stiga.....where the engine is actually made is anyone's guess). The mower itself says made in Slovakia. Plastic fuel tank and plastic air filter box. Aluminium bowl type carburettor. Plastic deck and plastic wheels. No pump priming or choke. This all runs automatically when the cord is pulled. I set the wheel heights to the lowest setting and it did a lovely trim job of the lawn. Very easy mower to start and use. There seems to be a glut of these little machines on the market. Maybe Stiga (who owns the Mountfield name among many others) produced too many or the dealers couldn't shift ...

    A great little Lawnmower.

    Light weight but capable of some seriously heavy work. We’d been away on holiday & the lawn had grown considerably - up to 18” in places. Abandoning any attempt to use the Grass-box for the initial cut, I tied-up the flap on the machine’s outlet & the cut grass just powered out. Admittedly I got covered by the cuttings but it did the job. It’s got a self-propelling facility but is light enough to push manually even by an 80 year old ! Today’s task is to cut the grass again when I shall use the self-drive with, hopefully, grass-box in situ. If I have one criticism it is that the collecting box can be awkward to position correctly.

    Excellent price for a mountfield

    I watched a you tube video to help me build it, this helped as the instructions aren’t great. The mower starts easily and cuts very well- my grass looks even and lush. This is my 2nd Mountfield mower, the first lasting 12+, this model is better than the first, it starts much more easily.
