Additional Information
A blowout Las Vegas bachelor party turns into a race against time when three hung-over groomsmen awaken after a night of drunken debauchery to find that the groom has gone missing, and they must attempt to get him to the alter before his wedding day. In 48 hours, Doug is scheduled to walk down the aisle, effectively ending his reign as a rowdy bachelor. Realising that this is their last blowout with their best friend, Doug's groomsmen organise a Sin City bachelor bash he'll never forget. The next morning, the groomsmen come to in their Caesar's Palace suite to find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby tucked away in the closet. Unfortunately, Doug is nowhere to be found. With no memory of the previous night's transgressions and precious little time to spare, the trio sets out on a hazy attempt to retrace their steps and discover exactly where things went wrong. Will they find Doug in time to get him to the wedding back in Los Angeles, or will his bride experience the sharp sting of disappointment when she walks down the aisle to discover that her future husband is nowhere to be found? Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Heather Graham star in a rambunctious comedy from OLD SCHOOL director Todd Phillips.
Reviews
The Observer - The director, harnessing the talents of a relatively unknown cast, creates a genuine minor classic of the genre, Daily Telegraph - THE HANGOVER serves up a steady stream of big, dumb laughs, but you may feel a gnawing sense of guilt right afterwards, Screen International - Proudly inappropriate and buoyed by both a clever script and some obvious chemistry between the film's male leads, director Todd Phillips' comedy will play like gangbusters with men and may even attract some women who know and love knuckleheads, Total Film - Succeeding equally well as rowdy romp, what-happened mystery and man-crush comedy, THE HANGOVER is an unexpected winner, FHM - Easily the funniest film of the year. A must-see, Maxim - One of the funniest films we've seen in many a moon, Daily Express - The cast is personable, the photography is attractive, the script is cleverly constructed, Daily Mirror - Lewd, crude and exceptionally rude, the gags come thick and fast, Heat Magazine - Debauched, depraved and very, very funny, The Scotsman - It kicks this sub-genre up a gear with an anarchic sense of fun and a consistently high gags-to-giggle ratio that knows when to push the envelop of taste and when to pull back a little, Channel 4 Film - Consistently funny, THE HANGOVER proves you don't need a big-name Hollywood cast to get big laughs. Destined to appeal to the lads everywhere, that the film doesn't only resort to gross-out gags means female audiences should give it a go, ViewLondon - Hugely enjoyable and frequently hilarious, this is a sharply written comedy with strong comic performances from a terrific ensemble cast, Shadows On The Wall - It's not very sophisticated, but this raucous comedy keeps us laughing with its sheer absurdity. The characters are very well-played and their interaction is genuinely hilarious, even if most of the jokes are pretty cheap, Daily Mail - Rude, crude and defiantly male, it's the ultimate phallocentric antidote to SEX AND THE CITY, and easily the funniest American comedy of the year, Little White Lies - Everything works here; the characters are funny, the set-ups are funny, the lines are funny, News Of The World - This is top stuff. There's all the carnage, baps and humiliation you could want from a 15-rated comedy but it's pegged around a smart plot that actually holds up. Take out the laughs, and THE HANGOVER would still work as a gripping, if barmy thriller, Sky Movies - The cracking script - a veritable treasure trove of smart one-liners - and beautifully-worked set pieces make this one of the most enjoyable comedies of the year, The Independent - Some very funny, very non-PC dialogue is thrown about like a game of catch. The actors, virtually unknown, are terrific, Sunday Times - The director and his screenwriters have come up with the funniest film to appear in ages. It avoids the predictable crudity and silly laddishness (well, almost) you'd expect, and delights with zinging one-liners and charming performances, The Sun - Rude, crude and downright distasteful - this film is brilliant, Sunday Mirror - A devilishly smart comedy gem that manages to blend the raunchy and the rowdy with some deliciously left-field humour, The Guardian - It turns out to be every bit as crass, offensive and incorrect as you'd expect, but it's also - gulp! - really very funny an awful lot of the time, as well as bizarrely gripping, Empire - A furiously paced, inventive and flat-out hilarious take on a tried-and-tested formula. An exemplary bromantic comedy that doesn't sacrifice heart in pursuit of laughs, maintaining plenty of the former and a superabundance of the latter

  • really enjoyed it,

really enjoyed this movie, heard a lot about it and thought it sounds like a must see. i would recommend this to everyone who is over 18 years of age

  • hangover

the film is funny and never gets boring. especially as it is more of less true to real life when you get a hangover and not remember anything from the night

  • Hugely funny, fast-paced Vegas stag party comedy

Hard to fault as comedy entertainment, this fast-paced well directed film starts with the dramatic phone call expalaining that the stag party is not actually make it back from Vegas to the wedding. The time then rolls back and the crazy events leading up to the call unfold with superb casting of the very different personalities involved, some great touches and a surprising excellent cameo role. Funny throughout and with some great tag-lines, this is one we will watch again and again. Hugely recommended and easily our favourite film of 2010.

  • The Hangover

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.
