    Heavy Gauge Makes a Difference!

    I tried everything to get the tone I wanted from my bass, and was never happy until I switched to these heavy/medium strings that happen to be balanced tension. And it really made a huge difference! My bass has that growl and beef that it was lacking, deep tones, guts and warmth! I’ll never go back to light gauge strings again.

    Perfectly decent sound, sublime feel; worthwhile to try.

    These strings sound just fine and have a sublime feel, though I don't know that my next set of strings will be these specifically because as nickel wound strings, they have notable high end and string noise. I think the ideal option in my case would be a hand chosen set of half round strings following the same balanced tension concept. Regardless, these are perfectly serviceable and for those who prefer the bright sound of regular nickel wound strings these are, at the very least, worth a shot for the low expense.

    Great bottom end strings for my 10 string.

    These D'Addario's are the perfect set for the bottom 4 of my 10 string. I've been trying to find the right scale and tension in a mix of guitar and bass strings. This set is the perfect compliment for my top six. Thanks a billion!
