The earlier one was also an independent hood but of navy color and without the brim. It can be seen as a thicker sou’wester. With a watch cap underneath (which I doubt was regulation) it’s quite warm, but by itself it’s relatively thin and would really just cut down on the wind. Price was unbeatable if there are some left. Even if this were replica, it would still be a bargain. Great turnaround time with tracked shipping.
