About this product

Product Information

Evolution Worlds continues the anime-styled adventures of Mag Launcher and Linear Cannon as they explore labyrinths and ancient ruins while searching for lost treasure. As in the two previous Dreamcast games, battles within the dungeons are fought using a turn-based system, with attacks being enhanced by cybernetic armaments called Cyframes.

Each character offers different skills or Cyframes to assist the party, and experience earned from combat can be used to upgrade abilities as well as equipment. To change the dynamics of battles, players can alter attack positions to minimize damage received or to maximize a character's strengths. As players become more proficient in combat, they can return to town to receive new missions.

  • Evolution Worlds (GameCube)

This game was pretty good. It was short and predictable, but you can play through it again after you beat it with more stuff to do. Every character has a voice over, even unplayable characters, villains, and townspeople. Each of your characters can have a different reaction to the people also. The graphics are fairly good and the music isn't too bad, either. I enjoyed the game, but I would not recommend it to anyone else unless they liked RPGs and comical characters. I found the game to be very easy to beat. There was a small amount of confusing puzzles and slightly difficult bosses, but for the most part, nothing too challenging.

  • Fun old school Jrpg

It's a old school Jrpg , for its time the graphics are good. The story is decent , and overall gameplay is good. I think if u decide to buy this game and give it a chance u will like it.

  • A perfect example of a turn of the millennium JRPG

I might be blinded by the nostalgia of this Dreamcast era RPG but I am fond of it none the less.

  • A great RPG for Gamecube straight from the Sega Dreamcast !

I had no idea this was a port for GC from the Sega Dreamcast. But what a great little RPG. I've heard this is about 40 hours, which is good enough, but the characters, random dungeons, mag machine parts, and story line are excellent. Such a great RPG for the Gamecube console.. Plus a lot of the music in this game is awesome to boot. In terms of the random dungeon levels, it almost has a Dark Cloud (PS 2) feel to them, even though it is much more fun and interesting than that game ever was. Plus you meet all kinds of weird, interesting and strange characters in the storyline. And to think I almost passed on this b/c I didnt like the cover art. Really glad I reconsidered!
