Product Information

The Six Million Dollar Man is a famous American drama series that was aired on the ABC network between 1974 and 1978. The plot revolves around a former astronaut, Steve Austin (Lee Majors), who has bionic implants and works for the Office of Scientific Investigation (OSI). The main character of this science fiction series, Steve Austin, after being severely injured in an aircraft crash, is “rebuilt” by having both legs, his right arm and his left eye replaced with bionic parts that cost six million dollars, transforming him into a Six Million Dollar Man. The bionic attachments provide Steve Austin with exceptional speed, strength and vision. He uses these to combat evil scientists, smugglers, kidnappers and other baddies, while trying to clear his father’s name. The six-disc set of this drama series features the first season, in addition to the three television movies of The Six Million Dollar Man that were aired in 1973. The six-disc set of the series supports full-screen video and has English mono sound with English subtitles. As a treat, the disc set also features over two hours of bonus material which includes an interview with Lee Majors, the star of the series.

    Fun blast from the past, with a lot of material

    1973-74 was a fun time for baby boomers and those a little bit younger. This classic TV series of "the bionic man", will take you back there. On this 6 disc set is a LOT of material which includes 3 90 minute TV Pilot movies, all of the TV episodes and then a bonus disc that includes featurettes on "real bionics" and an "Iconic opening". This was an era that followed a lot of the Apollo space missions so it was relevant to the dreams of that time. Fun stuff that you can pop in any time.
