Sparkling ocean waters and rolling streams surround you while your line is cast into the scenery, falling into the water filled with an assortment of fish to catch. This is the concept behind the popular Reel Fishing game for the PlayStation. The second edition of Reel Fishing builds on the original by adding more tackle, different types of fish and placing more of an emphasis on the types of fish you catch -- not the quantity. Players can start the game in Free mode and choose from three different fishing spots. The majority of the action is experienced in the Season mode, however, where you are challenged to maintain a fishing career. From the Aqua Lodge menu screen, you will be able to travel between three different rooms: your work desk, the fish tank room, and the stock corner. At your desk, you can read "Fish Find" magazine for more information on how to catch fish, or you can search through your lure and fly organizer (empty at the beginning of the game). If you catch some fish and decide to keep them, you have the option of placing them in one of the appropriate fish tanks. One is for salt water, one for fresh water and one for running water. Once you start fishing in the Season mode, you're able to choose between two fishing spots. When you catch a certain number of fish, you're allowed to go to more areas and gain levels. This game offers over 500 pieces of tackle to choose from, over 70 different types of fish, and four methods of fishing (including trolling). Reel Fishing II has a full 18 stages to complete with a hidden level at the end of the game, and it is compatible with the PlayStation Fishing Peripheral.

I PREVIOUSLY USED TO HAVE THIS GAME WHEN I LIVED UP IN NH. I HAD FALLEN IN LOVE WITH HOW REALISTIC THE GAME WAS. IT ESPECIALLY HAS ADDED CHARM WHEN USING THE DUAL SHOCK CONTROLLERS AS YOU FEEL YOU ARE REALLY STRUGGLING TO REEL YOUR FISH IN. THE GRAPHICS ON THE GAME ARE TOTALLY AWESOME, I LOVE HOW YOU CAN EVEN MAINTAIN YOUR MOST PRIZED CATCHES IN THREE DIFFERENT TANKS DEPENDING ON WHAT TYPE OF FISHING YOU WERE DOING, I.E. SALT WATER, RIVERS, LAKES. YOU CAN ACTUALLY FEED THE FISH, WATCH THEM THRIVE AND EVEN GROW FROM WHEN YOU FIRST LANDED THEM. THERE IS EVEN A MAGAZINE THAT COMES OUT AS THE SEASONS COME TO LET YOU KNOW WHICH FISH ARE THE MOST ABUNDANT AT THAT TIME SINCE YOU DO HAVE TO TRY AND CATCH SPECIFIC ONES IN ORDER TO UNLOCK THE NEXT LEVELS, THERE ARE 18 IN TOTAL, I HAVE ONLY MADE IT TO LEVEL 4 SO FAR SO I HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO BUT THIS GAME IS TOTALLY ADDICTING, I HAVE PLAYED OTHER FISHING GAMES AND THEY WEREN'T SO GREAT BUT THIS ONE IS BY FAR MY ALL TIME FAVORITE AND I THINK ANYONE THAT HAS PLAYED IT WILL TOTALLY AGREE ALSO THERE IS NO BLOOD OR GORE AND IT IS SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES, KIDS WILL REALLY LOVE IT. I HOPE THEY MAKE A REEL FISHING 3, I COULDN'T EVEN BEGIN TO IMAGINE WHAT THEY COULD ADD TO TOP OFF THIS ONE BUT IF THEY EVER COME OUT WITH ONE, I CAN TELL YOU I WILL BE THE FIRST TO OWN IT. REEL FISHING II IS AS REAL TO FISHING AS IT GETS, SO IF YOU CAN FIND IT OUT THERE, PICK IT UP, ITS AWESOME.

There isn’t a fishing game that comes close to this one flawless there’s 70 fish in the game many stages each with brilliant and relaxing music and 3 tanks to keep your best fights close at hand this game was made in the year 2000 and looked great then so if you can appreciate this gem even in age and want a fun fishing experience this is the ultimate choice I’ve beaten the game about 5 times and love every second There isn’t a fishing game that comes close to this one flawless there’s 70 fish in the game many stages each with brilliant and relaxing music and 3 tanks to keep your best fights close at hand this game was made in the year 2000 and looked great then so if you can appreciate this gem even in age and want a fun fishing experience this is the ultimate choice I’ve beaten the game about 5 times and love every second
