Return to the Wild West in the role of the gunslinger Red, to embark on a 3D action quest of six-shooting vengeance. Red Dead Revolver is presented in the style of a classic Western film, with boomtown locales, a variety of exaggerated characters, and plenty of fast, furious gunfights. Orphaned as a child when his parents were brutally murdered, the game's hero Red grew up on the edge of civilization and became a bounty hunter. Now, his ultimate goal is to deliver some frontier-style, eye-for-an-eye justice to the outlaws who killed his family.<br><br>Red is an able marksman, and the game's auto-aim feature helps make sure his shots find their mark. He can also dodge behind objects for cover, and perform a few athletic tumbles to get out of a bad situation quickly. The game's "Deadeye" feature temporarily slows the action down, as in Max Payne's "Bullet time," allowing the hero to target multiple shots against an enemy -- all of which are fired in rapid succession as the game returns to its normal speed. Some levels have Red gunning down bad guys on horseback, and a multiplayer mode offers deathmatch-style shootouts between players.

Just For The Multiplayer Spaghetti Eastwood Style
I overlooked this gem for years & have to this is the best third person multiplayer shooter I have ever played . I like it so much I bought the x box version as well . In the Showdown mode or multiplayer you can play as 48 characters & choose from 13 maps or 14 on the x box. The nice thing is that by just using your profile you can unlock characters & maps by just playing matches . You can hide around corners & fire many kinds of western guns that all sound different also throw knives or dynamite , poison etc. the list goes on, & you can punch or kick or some characters have melee grabs. You can play with up to four human players local split screen or full screen against up to 3 computer bots. For example there are default characters that do not need to be unlocked Christina a barmaid in ... Characters can wear (very detailed) & use any other explosives and guns they find until they die. Rock star made this so I should have played it earlier since they made other good games like The Warriors , State Of Emergency , Grand Theft Auto games.

Read Dead Revolver takes its cues (very nicely I might add) from many Western films throughout the years, such as A Fist Full of Dollars, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, and even Will Smith's Wild Wild West. Revolver is a great homage to the spaghetti western films of the past. Add to that Rockstar's trademark humor, and Red Dead Revolver is a recipe for success. The story that drives Revolver is one of revenge. After witnessing the death of his parent's, Red takes it upon himself to set out on a path to take down their killer. In order to do so, Red has turned himself into a bounty hunter and will travel around the West taking down criminals and gangs all in the hope to find the killer. To add icing to the cake, the sound effects in Revolver are also top-notch. Weapons fire realistically and have the comedic ricochet sound if they miss their target. Even better is when they actually hit their target, causing a rather gross “sploosh” noise as the bullet hits the enemy. Background effects, such as explosions, animals, and background characters, all do the job of creating the Old West. Visually, Revolver is hit and miss. There are some very nice details added into the game, such as heat effects and the wide cast of characters, but as a whole there was some work needed. Areas that players will journey through are small and often lack detail. The overall weathered look of the game does add to the experience. For the hardcore gamer there is plenty to unlock. Multi-player characters, multi-player arenas, and weapons can all be unlocked through the story mode. Once the main story is beaten, harder difficulties are opened for those wishing to experience all Revolver has to offer. The bottom line: Red Dead Revolver raises the bar for the western gender. Truly a fun game that I can pick up twenty years from now and play all over again.

This game is one of the best games i've had the chance to play. It's easy to learn, it's fun, and there are plenty of things to do. But, why not a five, because of the clarity, it actually looks like an old western movie when you play it, so it's made to be grainy, yet perfectly clear. It's both a godsend, for you against enemy's, yet a pain, for you against enemy's. It is a marvel in the way it all goes together, the story line, the weapons, and the multiplayer games. The card system inside the multiplayer head to head or team games, is ingenious in the way it works. Every time you kill someone a giant card appears above them. These cards, each color coded, can give you different power ups, red for weapons, blue for more ammo, green for health, and yellow for other things. Along ... This game is one of the best games i've had the chance to play. It's easy to learn, it's fun, and there are plenty of things to do. This game is great for anyone looking for a game that puts you right in an old west film. There's a decent amount of weapons, and I especially liked the music. Rounds tend to be on the short side, but the fast paced action complete with a bullet-time like multiple targeting and "draw mode" make up for it. This game is also good at not using the same ideas over and over again, as most rounds are totally unique with several rounds putting you in other character's shoes. Good western video game.
Very good western game. The targeting during the duels can be a bit tricky (especially when dueling multiple targets). However it’s a fun game to play.
