Best of the Pink Panther series
Of all of the Pink Panther movies, the 70's ones are roundly regarded as the best. This one is probably the best of the lot, yet it is missing from the boxed sets. Classic performances by Peter Sellers, Burt Kwouk, Herbert Lom, Christopher Plummer and others. If all you've seen is the *AWEFUL* Steve Martin movies, you should definitely check this one out. At over 40 years old, it is a little dated but still an enjoyable watch.Of all of the Pink Panther movies, the 70's ones are roundly regarded as the best. This is the third installment of the Peter Sellers + Blake Edwards "Pink Panther" movie series, and picks up some of the characters from the original film "The Pink Panther" and also some of the characters from the second film in the series, "A Shot In The Dark". It is very, very funny, with great writing, and hilarious work between Peter Sellers as Inspector Cleauseu, and actor Herbert Lom as his boss, Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfuss, who is again driven mad by his underling. This is the only other film besides the original to feature the actual diamond. A funny aside is listening to actor Christopher Plummer, playing the role of Sir Charles Lyton, imitate the voice of David Niven, who played the role in the first film. Also making a strong contribution ... About the only dissapointment is that the DVD has no extra features to mention, with no "making of" featurette or Director's commentary available. In fact, of all the five Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies in which he actually acted in ("Trail of the Pink Panther" is a film made of out-takes after Peter Sellers death) available on DVD, only the first film has a commentary by Blake Edwards.

Return of the Pink Panther
This 1975 Pink Panther sequel is really a very good sequel with some classic Peter Sellers comedy returning as Inspector Clouseau solving another great case with producer/director Blake Edwards returns here too!

Everyone needs it for their collection!
I bought the Return on the Pink Panther because we had basicly worn out our VCR tape. It is one of the funniest of the films made by Peter Sellers. We have basicly everyone that he made on DVD so that our son and daughter can enjoy them as much as we did growing up. It is a must have for any Pink Panther or Peter Sellers fan. Watching as he and his man servant completly destroy the flat he lives in and the one below it, will have you rolling on the floor with fits of laughter.
