I now have 48 Gigabytes of memory on a two Gigabyte motherboards, a EX58-UD5 and a X58A-UD3R. Triple channel, 2 DIMMS each, so 6 Memory Modules and they are running at 1600Mhz. As well the NB frequency went from 3200 to 3800 Mhz. The effective memory transfer rate is now 16.34 GB/sec. I am running the Xeon W3690 CPUS @4.4Ghz with 12 threads to process. I run Virtual Box machines with 16 Gb of memory at 4 threads each.
