Cursed Mountain takes gamers back to the late '80s and puts them in the role of Eric Simmons, a mountaineer who has trekked to the Himalayan mountain Chomolonzo in order to investigate the disappearance of his reckless younger brother. Not only must Simmons contend with the brutal forces of nature at 20,000 feet, but he must also do battle with the cursed souls of dead adventurers, villagers, and Buddhist monks who did not properly respect the mountain, and have been left in limbo in the Shadow World. Players must use the Wii Remote's motion controls to climb and fight enemies, and Deep Silver claims its graphics engine, combined with the mountain's top-of-the-world vantage point, lets players view the entire game world at all times.

    Greatest Wii Book-like Horror/Adventure

    Greatest Wii game about suspense, terror and adventure, as well exploration-like! Graphics - 8/10 Good graphics and special efects, but they could be better... just for the sake of quality and immersion. Sound - 10/10 Wonderful ambient sound and soundtrack, getting the player into the game's mood. Story - 10/10 Incredible story, couldn't be better! Very original. Gameplay - 8/10 Very intuitive, a bit slow... but thats how the reality goes. Replay - 4/10 There's almost nothing to do after finished it once but to see the story again. Total - 8 / 10 Low price worths to buy!

    Cursed Mountain (Limited Edition) (Wii, 2009)

    This product is definitely well worth the price of admission (under $20.00). The game itself was not an A rated title by your usual main video game reviewers but offered me an experience that is not found in today’s typical mainstream mystery/thriller genre type. The game has a slight learning curve with the controls and some of the graphics/animations are pre dated. Other than these minor flaws, the game still does offer quite an experience and is designed in in a way that successfully draws you into the story. Also, my version of the game was a limited edition and was packaged in a steel game case and an extra disc with the soundtrack of the game.

    Unique! Love the setting!

    I really got into this game very quickly. It was much better and much more interesting then I had guessed as I read reviews when deciding whether or not to buy it. Im really glad I did. I love the scenery..the camera angles, and the story. Im relieved you cant "fall off" the mountain and have "stupid" deaths. It moves along very well..not too tedious. For the price, you cant go wrong!
