      Lovely home brew barrel

      A great improvement on the old style barrels that I have used in the past. The extras make it very good. Only thing I would recommend is to make sure the tap is screwed in tight. I had a slight gas leak the first time. Won't make that mistake again!

      Does exactly what it's meant to do!

      So far so good! I've had two successful brews in it and there is a third settling at the moment. I thought I'd done the wrong thing getting a top tap model but it works very well and I'm happy with it. As you're taking the beer from the top you do not have to wait for the whole barrel to clear - as it clears top down but of course after any secondary fermentation finishes you do have to pressurize it to get the beer out. I knew that and would do so anyway so I'm very pleased with it. It seems to be well made and robust. The tap is also good quality - which is important as I once had a tap blow out on a bottom tap model and I lost an entire brew - the nut and/or screw thread were not good enough to withstand the pressure. I would buy it again and probably will.
