Purchased Elan Connect to have DAB/+ FM Internet Radio & Podcasts using the BBC's latest codecs, bitrates & protocols. Unfortunately, and from my experience, mainly the BBC was very slow to load and when it did was intermittent. My Internet access is fast 4/5G & slower VDSL as backup. Loading and performance was slightly better using VDSL which leads me to believe that buffer & or latency is an issue with the Frontier-Silicon platform with BBC's HLS MPEG-DASH protocols. Poor user interface if using as bedside alarm clock.
Does not include USB power supply only a USB cable, which is rather short if you want to use unit as a bedside alarm (can not set alarm if using batteries only). The user interface is not easy to use in bed, as need to use both hands and need to press multiple buttons to set/change the alarms or sleep timer.
