Product Information

Parker Brothers' classic board game makes its PlayStation 2 debut with a number of new twists to the core strategic play. Battles take place in a cinematic fashion amidst 3D locales as players consult with historic leaders for tips on conquering the world. Players can also earn medals and extra dice by achieving certain goals while invading countries. Three modes of play include Classic, Mission Risk, and Capital Risk, each with various options to help customize the game. <br><br>Up to six players vie for global conquest by alternating turns, or solo generals can choose from ten computer opponents with distinct voices and playing styles. Rounding out the list of features are a Tutorial mode for those new to Risk and an option to "spin" the dice rather than having the numbers automatically crunched by the computer. Statistics are also tracked for each player and can be saved to the hard drive.

    Risk On PlayStation

    The board game comes onto the Playstation. I have a few things to explain about it,first of all..if your a fan of the board game..then you should enjoy this. Without the hassle of setting up the game..you can just pop in the game and just play. There are different kinds of Risk. Classic Risk,Captial Risk,where you set up a captial and other players also. Control all the captials and you win,or Secret Mission Risk where you would need to do a certain requirement in order to win. Like being in a territory,or controling a continent or beating a certain player. There are plenty of things to unlock,which adds a replay factor.When playing,you can play against the A.I or against other players.     Classic board game comes to life.

    The whole concept of being able to play a board game I grew up on without other players was the main reason I purchased this title. Overall I love the game. The only quirks I have are the slow battle scenes at times, and the more than annoying commentary from the computer players. Usually it's the same phrase three times in a row. Besides that (which can easily be remedied in the options), this is a great game for any fan of Risk...

    Risk conquers all

    After many years of playing Madden, GTA's and more popular games, I found that the only game I care to play anymore is Risk Global Domination. The PS2 version makes for a quicker and more entertaining game than the old fashioned board game. What's nice is that you can change so many variables to how you want to play that it really never gets old. ENJOY!

    RISK for Playstation 2

    I decided to buy Risk because growing up my brothers and I battled many a time to rule the world in Risk. Simply put, if you like the board game you will like the video game. The graphics and game play are very simple, but they get the job done. Playing against friends is always best, but even one player mode will provide a challenge if you set the AI generals to the hardest level. If you aren't expecting much in the way of graphics and battle scenes, this is the way to go to enjoy the game of Risk.
