    Essential PC gaming

    Quake meets Zelda on steroids. Unreal changed everything in 1998 when it abandoned brown corridor shooting for expansive and colorful outdoor environments. Colored light paints landscapes that even today are just downright pretty to look at. Intricate level design and air-tight shooting elevate Unreal to the top tier of the golden age of PC gaming and sits quietly beside Half-Life as among the best examples of video game storytelling as an interactive experience. No cutscenes, no overblown exposition, just you, a rocket launcher, and a mystical planet.

    Still setting the bar, 15 years after release. Its Unreal!

    Anyone who claims that Unreal is in the past needs to do their homework. The Unreal universe is alive and vibrant as ever, with new content, game modes and modifications being released even now. Fansites are full of people devoted to the series, updating the look, feel and play of Unreal daily. A classic game, kept up by fans, this game is simply a must-own; not only because it is a cornerstone in fantasy/shooting game evolution, but because of the still-vibrant community behind it who keep it great. Put some time into your updating your installation of this game and you will be rewarded with an experience that is as beautiful and exciting today as it was 15 years ago.

    Ahhhhh The good old days

    Pros:Open gl,can you say doom?duke nukem?castle wolfenstien?quake??Well yea its pretty much teh same old engine ..Unreal was one of the best in its time Cons:Old game and showing its age Other:Buy it..and experience old school shooters from back in the gaming boom years

    Unreal

    Awsome game for it's time. When I 1st played this game 9 years ago when it came out, it was so far ahead of its time.. In my opinion it's a classic. It's still fun in 2007. (especially since u can buy it for under $3.00 now)
