POLICY:
 
It is in Hot Plants greatest interests to treat every customer with care and respect. In order to ensure the prevalence of our commitment to quality service and fair trading and to enhance the credibility of our products, we endeavour to adhere to all aspects of European Community trade legislation. The following is a summary of our sales terms and conditions, aimed at providing peace of mind for Hot Plants and our customers. Your statutory rights under the current consumer protection laws are not affected.
 
DATA & PRIVACY:
 
The information collected from you at the time you place an order (on you or those you gift to) will be stored in our database and is used purely to carry out your instructions and action your payment. There are no circumstances under which, this information might be passed to a third party or misrepresented in any way.
 
SUPPLY:
 
1.) An agreement for us to sell you goods is made on these terms when we accept an order made by you via our Web Site. The description of the goods, the price, VAT, insurance and delivery costs are set out in the order page. We will confirm acceptance of your order on-screen.
 
2.) We aim to give you a clear idea of the nature of the plants we sell. However, you appreciate that there are inevitably slight variations in size, shape and colour between different specimens. Illustrations, descriptions and other information as to particular plants are approximate and for guidance only. We may in our sole discretion from time to time vary the nature of the goods from that advertised without notice to you, so long as these variations are not material alterations.
 
3.) The quantity, quality and description of the goods will be those set out in your order (if accepted by us). Orders are accepted at our sole discretion but are normally accepted if the goods are available, the order reflects current pricing, you are based in the Delivery Area and your credit or account card is authorised for the transaction.
 
PAYMENTS:
 
1.) We will charge your credit card/debit card account for payment upon receipt of order unless delivery cannot be fulfilled within 30 days. Items with a lead time greater than 30 days will be charged up to 7 days prior to dispatch. We accept no liability if a delivery is delayed because the payment details submitted were incorrect.
 
2.) If it is not possible to obtain full payment for the goods from your account, we can cancel the contract or suspend any further deliveries to you.
 
3.) We will take all reasonable care to keep all information connected with your order secure but we cannot be held liable for any loss that you may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any data, including credit and account details you provide when accessing or ordering from this website, unless this is solely due to our negligence.
 
REFUNDS:
 
At Hot Plants our aim is to provide the best possible products and customer service. However, we realise that on occasion, a problem may arise and may need to be rectified. If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, or if it has arrived damaged or broken, we ask you to notify us in writing within 7 days of purchase to request a refund or replacement. Any outstanding defect incurred either at source or during transit will be noticeable on arrival of the product. Therefore, 7 days is ample time for a claim to a refund or replacement to be lodged. Any requests made after this time will be rejected.
 
DELIVERY:
 
1.) We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery in your order. It is important that this address is accurate. Please be precise about where you would like the goods left if you are out when we deliver. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions.
 
2.) We endeavour to deliver to you within 48 hours of purchase or within 48 hours of the item becoming available for us to dispatch, but you will respect that this may not always be possible and so therefore we ask you to allow 10 days for delivery incase of unexpected anomalies within the delivery system. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, the delivery date will be extended by a reasonable period and we will contact you to arrange an alternative time.
 
3.) Our shipping costs are calculated based on our chosen courier’s (Parcelforce) pricing tariff. The shipping costs outlined when purchasing a product are based on UK mainland delivery only. Off-island deliveries will be subject to increased shipping costs, of which we will inform you prior to delivery.
 
GUARENTEE:
 
We aim to provide high quality plants and products to our customers. Accordingly, we warrant that where the goods are products and not already covered by a manufacturers guarantee, they will meet their specification and will be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery. Where the goods are hardy plants, we warrant that they are covered by a 28 day guarantee. If the plant should die of natural causes up to 28 days after they have been delivered, we will replace it free of charge. We further undertake that they will be in good condition at the time of delivery and will be of the type ordered, or if that type is not available we will let you know by e mail and, if possible, suggest a suitable alternative which is available. If you do not want the alternative suggested, you will be entitled to order another plant or cancel your order, as you wish.
 
COMPLAINTS:
 
If you wish to complain about any aspects of our products or service, please email us within 7 days of receiving your product at shop@hotplants.co.uk. If you do not contact us within the given time period, we will assume your full satisfaction. Email replies to you will be to the address you specify to us. It is important that you give us an accurate and valid e-mail address and tell us of any changes to it.
 
LEGALITIES:
 
1.) All of the written and design content of the website, together with the selection and arrangement of it and all software compilations are our copyrighted property or that of the people who have granted to us the right to use it and is protected as such. All rights reserved.
 
2.) None of this material may be used without our written permission. You may download or print a single copy for your own non-commercial off-line viewing.
 
3.) All names, logos, slogans, or other phrases may be a trade mark of ours or another person or corporation. Any unauthorised use of a trade mark is unlawful
 
4.) We reserve the right to make changes to this website and these terms at any time.
 
5.) These terms will be governed by English law and any disputes that may arise will be resolved exclusively by the English Courts.
I certify that all my selling activities will comply with all EU laws and regulations.

I apologise for the late reply for feedback, I found the plant had been left in my bin by the royal mail, with no notification. I have no idea how long it's been there. It's a beautiful plant, doesn't appeared to have suffered! I would definitely use this seller again. Plant was very well wrapped and is very healthy, full of new buds.

Sorry for the delay in receiving your plant. It was delivered on 31/01/24 and according to tracking they left a delivery card, although in this case obviously they did not! I always upload tracking numbers on to your eBay order when it has been dispatched so you can click on the link for delivery details. Thankfully, Camellias are very shade tolerant plants and travel well, so no harm done. I am so pleased you love your plant. Best wishes, Debbie
