    Bass CryBaby

This does not sound like a traditional Cry Baby. I watched a video where they said they wanted it to sound more like an envelope filter, which it does. The best thing about this wah is that there is no engage switch, you just put your foot on it and it starts working. I can't say I like the sound better than my vintage Morley, but that thing is huge and the on-off switch is a pain, so it will probably end up on the live pedal board.

  • A main staple for any bass player.

I bought this pedal because I wasn't enjoying the sound of an auto wah/envelope filter and I wanted the thick. funky sounds that are on countless "bass heavy" songs. This pedal NAILS IT. I have as of yet found nothing wrong with this pedal. The fact that it has an automatic spring-back system is awesome, because it allows the filter to shut off right as I take my foot of the pedal. The "Q" function can really vary in depth, sensitivity, and sound. I can go from a low splash of fluid bass to the most watery, funky bass you can imagine. It sounds GREAT with effects. I don't see myself ever taking this off my pedalboard.
