About this product

Product Information

Based on the mythology created by the 2009 film franchise reboot of the same name, Star Trek is a co-op shooter that puts players in control of Kirk and Spock as they battle Gorn foes through large spacecraft, on alien planets, and in the vacuum of space. Multiplayer fans can team up with a friend for local or online action, while solo gamers control one character as the AI takes charge of the other. In combat Kirk uses his phaser to stun enemies, while Spock employs his Vulcan nerve pinch and mind meld, as well as a weapon that freezes foes.<br><br>The Gorn enemies come in various sizes and level of lethality, with some capable of infecting Kirk and Spock with a venom that can make them hallucinate, or even kill them. In addition to firefights with reptilian foes, players can commandeer enemy spacecraft, explore alien jungles and waterways, and leap from ship to ship through zero-gravity zones. Star Trek also features fully voiced dialogue from Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, the actors who play Kirk and Spock in the films.

    The New Final Frontier

    I have been looking at this game for years and just plain failed to get it when it was new. I am armed with an XBox 360, this game, a 3D projector and active shutter glasses. Got my phaser and I'm ready to save the universe with Kirk and Spock.

    Great game!! Buy it, own it, love it!!!

    This game lands itself between the two new movies. Great story, awesome graphics, fluid gameplay, and so much more. The two player mode is set up wonderfully and they really capture the bond between Kirk & Spock. The only gripe I can think of at all is the difficulty controlling movement while swimming but it's not really that tough and there isn't much swimming anyways lol. I've been a Star Trek fan my whole life and I love this game.

    It's ok

    If you can buy it for under $10 then it's a must have. It's only really fun when you play co op with a friend. Single player will be kinda boring.
