    Only good to make the carpet darker

    No matter how much product you use, you won't be able to have a black. I used it to color a light gray to dark blueish carpet and then I had to spray it with a good black DYE. I think it's cheap way to get a dark tint for a wide carpet. Then, you'll need a second product.
