    Very entertaining remake of the movie, a little creepy in parts, sad ending

    Poor monkey! This is a visually stunning movie well produced and entertaining. It's a little intense for younger (sub 12 year old) kids, although I saw it in a movie theater where six and seven year olds were watching. I could just imagine the nightmares. One thing I really liked was the graphics and how realistic King Kong was. They did a wonderful job capturing the emotions of Kong, the facial expressions were almost human. The references to the original movie were a nice homage.

    Junk

    Movie kept freezing and skipping before and after I cleaned my DVD player. There was what looked like warm glue or something on the DVD when I removed it from the player after it froze for the last time. I didn't want to ruin my DVD player trying to play this junk. I threw the DVD away. It would have cost me more to send it back than what I paid for it in the first place.

    This is a fun movie with good actors and amazing special effects. I had it at one time and could not find my old DVD so it’s good to have it again so I can show it to my grandchildren.

    More than expected

    While I expected a King Kong story, I didn't anticipate the drama of the ship lost at sea, the voodoo-like natives or the Jurassic Park-like adventure on Kong's island. The movie definitely has an art-deco flavor to it with its wonderful depiction of early New York City. It's a 3 hour movie so make lots of popcorn!

    Best King Kong movie

    There are a few King Kong movies starting with the one I watched as a child that was made in the 1930s This movie made in 2005 was better. Both movies have a lot in common with the original story. What can I say, a lot of love went into making this movie. Great cast and wonderful special effects.
