Product Information

A sect of powerful vampires called Nightwalkers is wreaking havoc throughout a rain-soaked, modern-day U.S. city, and it's up to you to put an end to their reign of terror. Vampire Rain has players in control of a black ops soldier named John Lloyd, who is equipped with the latest in vampire-hunting technology, from "necrovision" goggles to ultraviolet knives. The enemies are quick, agile, and possess superhuman strength, but players can use stealth and the environment to set up strategic ambushes. Ranged weapons include a pistol, machine gun, assault rifle, sniper rifle, and a shotgun, and players can climb ladders, grab onto ledges, or crouch behind objects to stalk their prey while avoiding exposure. Up to eight players can compete online via Xbox Live in a choice of deathmatch, king-of-the-hill, and capture-the-flag variants.

    Vampire Rain is like "The Room" of Video Games. This is no reflection on the seller.

    This is not a good game, nobody should be paying more than $5 for this game. I knew all this before I puchased Vampire Rain but I had to have it given the terrible reputation it has. The graphics are not great especially if you consider other games that came out around the same time this one did. I mean there is enough ideas here for a game, it's just a marathon of pain and laughing till you cry type of elements here that you've got to have a reason to buy this game. It's not "good." What it is is odd and badly executed. If you want to experience everything wrong with this game you have to get the Xbox 360 version as it never got any patches to try to hide it's awfulness. This is the reason I bought the Xbox 360 verions.

    Worst Game of the Year

    Low quality. Poor controls. Stupid game world. I've listened, watched and read all the reviews about this game, I thought "no game could be that bad." I thought the same thing when I bought Dead Rising and after I played it, leveled up, I've gotten use to it, Dead Rising kinda grew on me, I like it. The longer I played Dead Rising, the better it got. So I bought Vampire Rain and played it (most of it) and well... yes the reviews are correct, this game ultimately sucks, plain and simple. I kept thinking "its gotta improve eventually, it cant be this bad" and actually, it really doesnt get better, its remains as itself from the beginning, the same crappy game world. It doesn't really suck because survival is tough (well actually it does suck, its called "bad design creates a bad game ...

    It Leaves a BAD Taste!!!

    Pros + Enemies are fast and can be creepy. + Some nice stealth moments. + Sniping, Knifing, and Shotgunning is quite fun but these moments are far too few. Cons - Almost impossible to kill an enemy with basic weapons. - Frustrating, frustrating, frustrating. (Level design, difficulty, even the acting is terrible, just plain stupid mistakes that could have been easily avoided. - Nobody was playing the multiplayer, so forget that. - So many problems with this game that I could list all day. Good premise though. Comments I wanted to like this game a lot but just couldn't get past all of the frustration. Every time you get some good weapons the level ends and you have to start over with no good weapons. Towards the end, the vampires get guns, so that makes it that much more impossible. Your ...
