An often overlooked cousin to such TV classics as "The Twilight Zone," "The Outer Limits" and, in another era, "The X Files," is "The Invaders," a saga about hostile extraterrestrials secretly attempting to take over the earth and the fight put up to stop them by one man, David Vincent, played superbly by Roy Thinnes. Each episode mixes adventure, paranoia, conspiracy and special effects to create two seasons of what remains a unique, dark and very engaging television program. All 43 uncut episodes are available in this 12 disc collection--with nominal extras--which looks and sounds quite good and the show retains its ability to entertain in a wonderfully unnerving way.

Love the series and was looking forward to watching it all when toward the end of the first disc, the scene froze and now I can't get the DVD out of my dvd player. I'll have to figure out something because I was really enjoying it.

Nice box set of the complete series of the Invaders! I always liked this series, it was one that didn't have a comedy relief caracter but was more dramatic. The special effects were great for the time. The picture quality is good on these DVD's ,looks great on my flat screen tv! Contains several Special Features too! Another old cult classic brought back to be enjoyed again!

This show is pretty neat. I don't remember watching it when I was young but started watching it on digital channels. Now it isn't available or on too late to watch. So, I was happy to find the entire season on Ebay. Great 1960s TV show.

I watched this series back when it first aired, still enjoy it all these years later. Certain actors are perfect for certain roles and that goes for Roy Thinnes as David Vincent. Excellent!!!!!!

Only on for one and a half seasons (cancelled allegedly under pressure from the Johnson Administration who cited the show for fostering anti-authoritarian sentiment), The Invaders is the Twilight Zone offshoot that is the clear ancestor of The X-Files. Relying on skillfully written, tension filled plots, fantastic guest stars (Hey - there’s Suzanne Pleschette! There’s Dabney Coleman!) and character development rather than special effects, the show finds it’s groove after establishing the story arc in the first few episodes. Although the Hitchcock plot device of “the man no one believes” is often used, the show’s anchor, the outstanding Roy Thinnes, delivers a performance that generates agonizing empathy for architect David Vincent each episode. The 43 episode series is wonderfully presented in the box set and warrants repeat viewing. A+.Read full review

Roy Thinnes plays a very convincing David Vincent, the one man crusade on stopping "them." Unfortunately, Dave didn't start any local movements to contain the invaders as he moved from place to place. I mean, who was paying his overhead in planes, trains, automobiles, meals and hotels? Sadly, the series didn't pick-up the needed traction to overcome the 24/7 onslaught of HORRIFIC violence, which was television in the mid to late 1960's. Too bad, many of us would have loved to see a full-length feature film based on this series

Classic Sci-Fi T.V. Series! Roy Thinnes was a great one-man Crusader against The Invaders! Each episode had guest stars who later became big stars. If you like alien invasion stories, you'll love The Invaders!

This is a great series to watch. Wish I had bought this box set earlier. Great acting not to mention nice to see the great cars of that time. Lot of well known actors in each show.

If you did not have the Privilege of Seeing this Original Sci-Fi Series in the late 1960's you will not be disappointed with the Complete Series. This Show just like Star Trek had an Amazing Following at the time but they still took them off the Air. It is a must for any Sci-Fi DVD Collection!
