  • another low blow for wrestling game fans

While this game appears to be much improved against its predessesors with much better graphix, improved roster, and much improved character likenesses, its actually worse than part II in gameplay. The finisher move system is horribe. While there is momentum and good slammin soundeffects this time, the glitches and poor finisher system again takes ALL the fun outta this one. The create a player has gone a step, or shall I say, a few steps back. The roster this time around is very impressive. With the addition of icons such as Dusty Rhodes, Jake Roberts, and The Ultimate Warrior, it could have been the greatest wrestling game of all time. But the folks in charge have once again gotten lazy and uncreative and unleashed yet another lowblow to XBOX wrestling fans. This time around, my favorite ...

  • Showdown Legends of Wrestling (Xbox)

I've played almost every wrestling game out there and this one is ok but doesn't impress. I've played through the entire game, and I wouldn't say I'd play through it again. (This Xbox version is backwards compatible with Xbox 360.) The roster of wrestling legends is very impressive with wrestling's all time greats that almost any old-school (or newer) wrestling fan would love. The CAW mode is OK but not that great by any means. With limited options for creating your wrestler. The controls seem very stiff and it's hard to pull off a move that you want. The commentary is annoying & repeatitive (like most wrestling games...). It's an average game. Might be fun for the nostaligic factor of seeing the legends. It's real cheap to buy too. If you like wrestling then I'd give this a shot.

  • Showdown: Legends of Wrestling Excellent Game

I bought Showdown: Legends of Wrestling for the original XBox to play on my XBox 360. Despite bad reviews that I had seen on the past, this game is a lot of fun to play. There are occasional glitches, but the game is from 2004 and intended for the original XBox, so I didn't expect a complete masterpiece. In my opinion, this game is better than the new WWE Legends of WrestleMania game with a similar theme. The best part is that you are able to utilize legends not featured in the current WWE games that fans really want to see like Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, and Macho Man Randy Savage. My only true complaint with the game is the Create A Legend mode should be better, even for a 2004 game. The actual gameplay is the fun part as the controls are easy to master, and usually work properly ...

  • game is pretty cool

the game is good you cant compare to todays games but they are way more advanced but for its time it is pretty cool there are 4 different attires for each superstar which is pretty cool and you can create different ones for each character the story mode is ok as well. you wrestle from the 70 and go up to modern which is good but could be better. now some things that hurt the game are the graphics even for a game around this time the graphics are terrible any of the smackdown vs raw they are terrible even compare to the original smackdowns that is my review of this game i give it 4/5 stars

  • The game didn't work

Disc came with deep scratches and is cracked and it doesn't work
