Easy way to extend your LAN.
I wanted a networking switch so that I could connect a couple of devices (YouView and Apple TV) in my family room to the internet by ethernet. I always considered Netgear to be a good brand and the capacity of this one was enough to meet my requirements. There is no setup required. You just plug in the network cables and the power supply and it works. The only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that the power supply itself looks like an American one with a UK adapter added. This makes it very bulky. it also sits horizontally rather than vertically and could block access to an adjacent socket.
