      A bit hard to ignite, but works well.

      I bought this for soldering gold wire rings, for which you need a fine but hot flame. It does this job well. It screws onto a standard Sievert gas canister which gives a high temperature flame and a convenient hand sized grip. However it's a bit hard to get it ignited. If you open the valve just a little, once it gets lit and starts to warm up, the expansion closes the valve and it goes out again. If you open the valve more, it blows the flame away from the match and doesn't ignite itself. I've found that pointing it at a lit gas ring works. If you don't have a gas ring, you have have trouble getting this blowtorch ignited. Once ignited, it's fine. The flame is hot and has a good range of adjustability.

      Go Gas Mt2055H Gas Torch

      I already have the slightly larger model of this torch, I needed a torch with a finer flame for finer work ( small job small flame ) this torch is long awaited to replace my old Ronson torch of which I am now down to my last cylinder of gas. All that is needed now to enable soldering is a copper solder adapter bit like the old Ronson torch adapter to fit on the end of the torch, I do not know if one is available from Go Gas, perhaps someone knows, apart from the aforementioned comment I am very pleased with the functioning of this torch.       GO GAS MT2055H BLOWTORCH HEAD

      I RECENTLY BROUGHT THIS NEW BLOWTORCH HEAD FOR GENERAL USE, IN PARTICULAR I NEEDED IT FOR BURNING SOME RUBBER OUT OF SOME KNACKERED FORD FOCUS REAR TRAILING ARM BUSHES WHICH HAVE A BIG METAL BAR THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THEM, SO I WANTED TO GET THAT OUT AND THEN USING PART OF A OLD WHEEL BEARING THAT WAS A SUITABLE SIZE PULL IT OUT ALSO USING A FEW BITS FROM MY WHEEL BEARING REMOVAL KIT AND MY AIR IMPACT WRENCH. THE BLOWTORCH PERFORMED WELL, IT TOOK A WHILE TO GET THE THICK RUBBER BURNING GOOD ENOUGH AND WITH THE TRAILING ARM SUPPORTED WITH A BIG BLOCK OF WOOD GAVE IT A CLOUT WITH A LUMP HAMMER AND IT KNOCKED OUT EASILY. SORTED! THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE BLOWTORCH SEEMS PRETTY GOOD AND I LIKE THE PENCIL POINTED FLAME AS IT GIVES A MORE CONCENTRATED HEAT THAN MY OLD TAYMAR BLOWTORCH WHICH HAS ...
