After Aron Ralston's ordeal in the canyon lands of Utah, when the mail started pouring into his life, he received a letter from a woman whose husband had recently died. In the wake of his death, she had assembled a cocktail of pills to end her own life. Somehow, though, she found Aron's book, read it, and wrote to him saying that after reading his story, she flushed her pills down the commode. My experience with this book--though not as dramatic--is much the same. Nothing I have ever read has inspired me more.
Remember, "Geological Time Includes Now". Great book, lots of things to be learned from this book. Well written, quick read. Only a little drab at times but what do you expect from a book about being stuck in one spot for days on end. This book kept my attention throughout however, and I was able to completed it in a relatively short amount of time. Great photo section in the middle. Would definitely recommend. B+
