The characters of Harold and Albert Steptoe are characters you will never forget and are very unique. Comedy is a wonderful thing - Steptoe and Son is an entirely different comedy to others. It is unique in the way characters and storylines are portrayed. The poorer classes of this era are shown in a very funny light and you can't help but be engaged in the show. Excellent, takes me right back to my young days. These two characters had style even portraying rag and bone men. Comedy which to me hasn't dated, still very entertaining, story lines were a touch of genius by Galton & Simpson. Humour similar to 'Rising Damp'. Many hours of entertainment here. Many people didn't realise how many episodes they actually made. I absolutely love all of them. If you are in your 50's like me, you'll remember how you could watch comedy without the need for swearing. This series is like the characters...unique in many ways.Excellent, takes me right back to my young days. These two characters had style even portraying rag and bone men. There doesn't seem to me much good comedy in TV these days. So I bought this. Wonderful, funny, ok sometimes might be considered a bit over the top in these pc times, but first class entertainment at a great price.
