Homage to the late 1950’s, early 1960’s British New Wave cinema, Between Two Women is filmed in the tradition of the Kitchen Sink Drama. Those with a low concentration threshold, may miss the very subtle queer aspect of the storyline of the two very different women, from across the class divide of a working class industrial northern town, slowly falling for one another. Using real life locations and sets, it’s a gentle contemporary spin on a kitchen sink drama of yesteryear.

I generally enjoyed this film - very nostalgic for me having been brought up in this era. Although not big on story line, still found it enjoyable. I also purchased this DVD because I have two friends who starred in it!
