The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles Vol.14 is a big hit with me!
I have had various volumes of The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles in the past. I use them mainly to assist me in writing music quizzes. Because I am opening and closing them many times they start to ware out and lose pages. When I had to replace them I chose Vol.14 because it has a separate section with added information on all the UK No.1 hits from 1952 to 2000. As my quizzes are mainly set in the 50s & 60s this volume is ideal for me. I also recommend Vol.17, although it doesn't have the UK No.1 section it has been combined with the Guinness Book of British Hit Albums. It has all of the hit singles and albums from 1952 to 2003. I am very glad that I could still get these two volumes because they are all I need. If you want to see later hit singles you will have to buy the Virgin ... I have had various volumes of The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles in the past. I use them mainly to assist me in writing music quizzes. I have the 8th edition book which I use for reference but it is now getting so worn I've purchased this one. It is just what I need to continue, so now I can retire my old one to the book shelf for occasional reference.

Its the answer to any music dilema.
Great buy, we have one of the earlier editions in the canteen at work and it is great when a tune comes on the radio and you dont remember who sang it. I wanted a more upto date edition so i could find out who was at the top of the charts when my kids were born.Recently when abroard with my husband a song came on in a little bar we were in and we were going crazy not knowing who sang it, we were able to txt our daughter and have her look it up and put us out of our misery haha.Great buy, we have one of the earlier editions in the canteen at work and it is great when a tune comes on the radio and you dont remember who sang it.
