Joe Meek produced 20 UK hits from 1957 to 1966, but only 5 are included here, so this collection may not satisfy Meek fans. If, however, you want an overview of Meek's pioneering studio wizardry, It's Hard to Believe It will deliver. So how's the music? Agreeable enough but not particularly compelling. No text. The accompanying 17-page booklet is enlightening, about both the music and the man. 20 tracks (seven are instrumentals. None of the other six approach the attraction of "Telstar."). 53:33.
