    OZ , great show.. very raw .

    I’m watching this series at this time.. I caught episodes when it televised on HBO series many years ago.. this show is NOT for the kiddies.I missed many episodes and I kept saying I wanted to purchase the series but dreaded buying the individual DVD series.. then I saw this this package.. very nice. Great price !

    Very poor copy and not original set

    These are not original sets. I had 2 disks not work & after a tech friend looked he informed me these aren’t original dvds. Even the writing on the disks is fuzzy. It tells you in the preview to flip the disk over for the next episodes. These are one-sided discs.

    Oz...We're not in Kansas anymore are we?

    Oz was the first HBO original series. Executive Produced by Barry Levinson and Tom Fontana (who both had previously exec. produced Homicide:Life on the Streets), Oz was created(and mostly written by Tom Fontana. It deals with The Oswald State Penitentiary,specifical an area of the prison called Emerald City. There are a wide range of characters from all races,religions,cultures and the series deals with their "interactions" and how the prison "management " attempts to keep control/the "peace". Warning:It is NOT for the weak of heart,as it tries to show what goes on in a prison..There are drugs,fights rape as well as the backstabbing,deal making that goes on. Fantastically written and hard to watch at times.
