    A great book for daily readings

    A great book for reading the whole Bible in either 1 or 2 years . There is a page for morning and one for evening. The Bible passage is laid out for you in the book and in italics inserted in the Bible text are Spurgeon's notes/thoughts. They are helpful in understanding the portion of scripture but also devotional/challenging in nature. This book has been a real blessing and we know others who use it for family devotions, but would be suitable for teens upwards, not young children. Would thoroughly recommend it!

    Spurgeon 1978 Devotional Bible challenging read

    In deciding to spend time reading the Word with the goal of understanding and personal application, the Spurgeon Devotional Bible is an interesting and insightful aide for me. As I use a 'through the Bible' reading schedule of choice that leads me to read the Word by chapters in order to read through the entire Bible, as a Believer it is most important to understand and be able to express in current vernacular, truths and principles from the passages read, studied and meditated upon foremost for myself and then to share and encourage others. Spurgeon's approach is just that for me. This particular printing is not edited by a present day interpretation ( there are some that put his devotional notes in contemporary language, though).     Spurgeons Bible

    I love the Bible. !!! I use it for my devotions every day. Thank you so much!! I continue to use it and use it for strength. I also am seeking more books from Spurgeon. Again thank you for such an awesome book. What I like most about the book is that it has a day by day plan. So i know I am reading the Bible every day and by the end of the year, would have gone through it and can start over. It is a useful tool for my study and Charles explains the verses very well. It has opened up the knowledge that I have been seeking for a long time. Thank you
