Yoshi's island is one of the best snes games ever made. The graphics look like it was drawn with a crayon which looks pretty. This would introduce many of yoshi's skills like the flutter jump and egg shoot. Gameplay is platformer and it's challenging if you want to collect everything. While the sound great for the most part, you better get used to baby Mario's cries. The bosses are my favorite part. While they're pretty easy, they're all unique with different strategy. It's too bad that this game is not yet available for the virtual console. Other the gba version, the only way to play this game is to have a super Nintendo. But overall, this is a must have for any super Nintendo collection.

Growing up this game was a must have. I adored the artistic style of the game, as well as the cuteness in the game. Who doesn’t want to play as a Yoshi, a New colored Yoshi every level! Oh and we can’t forget baby Mario. This game has been a fan favorite since it came out on the SNES. But it has been ported over to Nintendo Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS. With a Yoshi’s Island 2 for the Nintendo 3DS! This is a very beloved game. Fun and creative levels. Even as an adult this game still lights me up! Definitely one for the books!

Great graphics, great music/sound (other than baby Mario's crying...), tight controls and amazing level design. This was originally released in 1996 and still plays as good as anything released today. A true testament to the work that went into this title. It’s a fun game. I just started playing it this weekend and it’s easy enough to learn, but not too easy. I wish there was a two player mode though.
