This is basically a nice coffee table book. It appears to be an account of the author's personal collection and is quite biased and based on the author's own personal collecting preferences. As an accurate reference book for serious collectors or enthusiasts it isn't that much use. There are quite a few errors in the book with incomplete or incorrectly equiped sets shown. The author also states prefering early painted head figures and as such, realistic hair, gripping hand and eagle eye figures have been substituted with early figures posing in later uniforms. This is not a problem as such, but the authenticity becomes questionable. This book is now over 20 years old and the author must be commended for the quality of photography and presentation hence my recomendation. Action Man collecting has probably matured somewhat since then. It is nice to flick through once or twice, but the serious collector could do well to look elsewhere. Expensive for what it is.Read full review

Great book for any Action Man collector. Has details and photos, of most vintage AM figures, plus outfits. Bought for a friend he is a serious collector, he really likes the book.
