The Simpsons Road Rage brings the lighthearted mission-based driving of Crazy Taxi to the characters, settings, and amusing sense of ennui cultured in the popular animated television series. Play as one of over 20 Simpsons characters to run driving errands and deliveries at breakneck speeds through a dozen Springfield neighborhoods featuring over 100 recognizable landmarks. The world and its characters are rendered in full 3D for a sense of space and speed, yet the familiar people and places of Springfield are designed to match the 2D essence of their television counterparts. The physics model is purposefully exaggerated to allow impossible trick maneuvers and arcade-style control.<br><br>Homer's boss Mr. Burns lives up to his reputation as a true capitalist pig when he buys the local transit system and raises all the fares to outrageous rates. The resourceful citizens of Springfield begin to drive themselves around instead of paying the ridiculous mass transit fees, so the streets soon become crowded with frustrated motorists. Only by running errands and making deliveries can the downtrodden masses of Springfield earn enough money to buy back the transit system and return the roadways to their former state of relative efficiency. The game's Story Mode offers at least 40 different challenges that can help earn money for the cause. The more open-ended Sunday Driving mode lets players make deliveries and cruise virtual Springfield at their own pace.

The Simpsons Road Rage, GTA for kids
The Simpsons Road Rage was not the best, but it could have been better. The Simpsons Road Rage is obviously a GTA knock-off with The Simpsons name slapped on it, don't get me wrong it has its moments, but it has nothing that sets it apart from any other GTA knock-off, other than you control the Simpsons, and roam around in Springfield. THE GOOD It has a few # of cars that you can ride in (you only hop in with the driver and then you control it, what you think The Simpsons would steal?) along with a BONUS car you can find in each level, like the Itchy & Scratchy creator’s rocket car, an atv, to name a few. The best thing about The Simpsons Road Rage is the millions of Simpsons Easter eggs that die-hard fans such as myself know. Like all the different outfits that you can ... The Simpsons Road Rage was not the best, but it could have been better. The Simpsons Road Rage is obviously a GTA knock-off with The Simpsons name slapped on it, don't get me wrong it has its moments, but it has nothing that sets it apart from any other GTA knock-off, other than you control the Simpsons, and roam around in Springfield. THE BAD Combat, if you can even call it that it is just a hit button that you only use to kill robot bees, and people, if you want. You can tell that this game was meant to be more of a driving based mission, than anything, unlike GTA. Levels, there are six I believe, but only 3 different ones, when you come back they are just different times of day, (although there is some minor changes to the terrain that you caused in other missions (like a cinematic of you blowing up a building, just an ex.)but at night in the one level different spooky cars appear. All in all the came may not satisfy a hard core gamer, but may be to the liking of any true Simpsons fan or children, (although some missions are quite hard even for a kids, game. I myself have not beaten the last level) Hope this helped your decision to buy this game!

Simpsons: Road Rage This game is a lot like the Sega Dreamcast game Taxi Driver. It works on the same premise. However, like Taxi Driver, this game loses it's replay value after about a week. Pros: - Tons of Simpsons Characters - Lots of Vehicles - Great detail put into the Town of Springfield Cons: - Graphics are a little lame - After the jokes and the city design wear off the game quickly loses replay value - Incredibly easy to beat Final Verdict: 2/5 Rent or Buy: If you're a fan of the Simpsons (and who isn't?) rent this game for a week and play it till you're blue in the face. Then take it back and rent something with a little more substance. PLEASE VOTE IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL.
