    Australian excellence

    I've been a fan of the Grigoryan brothers unique style since 2001. Though they are not really a stylistic authority in any genre they do add a valuable contribution to the guitar duo community. Their father is an excellent arranger with beautiful ideas in manipulating the melodic content of some of the greatest and most intimate classical works. Looking at the YouTube videos it seems this was recorded using modern reproductions of the famous RCA34 microphones (of Bing Crosby fame). The texture is as rich as it gets because of this but I can't help but feel that a bit now grit/detail in the low miss would have worked to their favor. Still a stunning performance of unique ideas and style recorded to an amazing quality.
