About this product
Product Information
Interactive, die-cut, and fully illustrated, WHO WINS? Turns history into a compelling game. With mix-and-match die-cut pages (so each make-your-own matchup includes two historical figures and one wild challenge), readers can flip any of the three panels and match 100 historical figures in 50 competitive head-to-head categories, from mini golf to climbing Mount Everest. Each character is given a short bio and ranked in six categories-bravery, leadership, artistry, wealth, wisdom, and fitness. Let's say Charles Dickens challenges Mother Teresa to a lightsaber duel-will his superior artistry overcome her E advantage in bravery and leadership? Or who wins karaoke- Nelson Mandela or Jane Austen? They both certainly have a way with words, but Mandela's over-the-top courage might take the day. Actually, there are no right answers -the reader decides and mustjustify the answer based on the rankings as well as facts from short biographies opposite each character's page. Marie Curie vs. Queen Victoria in solving global warming? Gandhi vs. Charlie Chaplin in chess? Jackie Robinson vs. Confucius in a staring contest? And who would survive longest on Gilligan's Island: Vincent The Impressionist van Gogh or Sacagawea, aka The Pathfinder ? History has never been so much fun.

- s***s (2970)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseCondition excellent, as described, well packaged, dispatched promptly.Excellent communication from seller. Arrived ahead of anticipated delivery dates. ARRIVED 1st May, expectected between 24th May and 3rd June. Thank you. No import tax payable. A very pleasing experience. Would recommend this seller. A book l have been seeking to replace for 7 years after it got misplaced when moving house after bereavement.
- a***l (338)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseAlthough the description details were misleading, the customer support was rather good. I ordered the 2-volume set of ‘Atlas Shrugged’, but received a single volume. It might not seem like much to others, but it’s a large book and a 2-set volume would have made it easier to read. In addition, poor packaging damaged the DJ. Anyways, after sending firm, yet precise and polite emails, the situation was promptly resolved, hence the positive feedback; and, why I would buy again from the seller. 👍
- c***r (537)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseBook as specified, rapid delivery (from USA to UK), and a reasonable price for the book. Overall, my book arrived in "ok quality" packaging. A padded "book mailer" envelope was used. However, inside, there was no other protective packaging. One small point of constructive feedback: perhaps cardboard packaging could have been implemented, as a number of competing book sellers are now implementing cardboard packaging, especially for higher price books subject to international delivery.
