    Operating very well...

    I've had this pump for about a week now and am well pleased with it. It is neat and tidy and quieter than my previous pump, which broke down (a different make). It feeds just our shower and is very powerful and efficient. It was very good value for the price paid and I'm delighted with it. No hesitation in recommending it.

    Buy used ones with care.

    Watch out when buying used ones. Check the Warranty End Date or build date on the labels. Check the underside of the pump for rust. The seals can go, so the bearings rust, and the pumps leak and get very noisy. If you get one for parts/not working, easily fixed for pennies to replace the magnets in the flow sensors.

    good pump for the price

    The pump is fine for one shower but for anything more you will need a bigger pump. I think the 2 bar pump may have been a better option. I was a bit disappointed in the restrictive nature of the installation in that I wanted to use existing 15mm pipework but the pipes would have exceeded the 5 mtr only of 15mm pipework. I had no option but to install this at the base of the hot water cylinder which I just about managed, due to several pipes. You cannot bend the flexible pipes so any pipes coming from below have to rise above the height of these. The pump does seem to work fine once the water flow is established. I had to remove the NRV between the mixer and riser rail as there was insufficient water flow for the pump to work. The pump has been installed for about two weeks now so only time ...

    My wife could fit one

    great pumps I've fitted a few and never had a problem with flexible push fit fittings you really can't go wrong and so long as there's a socket close by no need to carry out any wiring as it comes with a three pin plug. At this price you'd be mad to buy an inferior pump, ask any plumber and they will tell you salamander pumps are trouble free fit and forget.

    Salamander CT50 Xtra

    This was bought as a replacement for a CT50+ Twin. Easy to install, much quieter than the CT50+ twin but still has some noise albeit you don't hear the clunk as you switch it on. Seems to have more pressure than my old pump even though it is the same bar rating
