    Great respect for human kindness and what really is important in life: To love one another and overlook faults.

    Being a cradle Catholic, I've seen this movie about four times now and it brings back so many memories of my childhood and adolescent years with all of the Catholic "flavor" if you will. I wanted a permanent library of all of my favorites. I purchased The Bells of St. Mary's a while back for the same reasons. I have Going My Way on VHS and still plays quite well. I guess I need to purchase that one pretty soon.

    A very inspirational DVD

    This amazing film has something that everyone will enjoy. It is religious, and somewhat spiritual, and yet there is comedy and drama mixed in. Loretta Young is a wonderful and talented actress who is the main star of the film. Celeste Holm also rates as top notch. The story is believable, even though this tale is fiction. From what I know, a second film was to follow, but it never developed. I really recommend this DVD, as it is a great film for the whole family.

    Lovely, funny, beautifully produced film still much loved.

    This film has not dated! I saw it when it came out and I was 9 years old. It plays today just as beautifully as it did all those eons ago. The casting is particularly noteworthy; Loretta Young, Celeste Holm and Elsa Lanchester were nominated for Oscars and in total there were seven nominations. The cast includes the best-of-the-best in character actors of the time. I met Celeste Holm and she said she enjoyed making the film but if you look closely you will note the lighting is always on Loretta Young, never Celeste. She found that funny and was in the middle of a run of top-level films so that was a good time for her.

    A MUST HAVE!!

    I loved this movie from the time I first saw it as a child. It is a classic. It has a great story line, one that touches your soul. The actors are excellent. Everyone has fantastic chemistry. It's a movie that leaves you with a good feeling when it's over. I am so glad that it has been preserved and made available on DVD.

    Come To The Stable DVD

    I am so grateful to have found this DVD. Come To The Stable is perhaps my favorite religious Christmas movie. It has been a tradition that my mom and l watch it with my nephew. As it is, this year he entered the Dominican novitiate; the first step on his road to the priesthood. Since we couldn't be together, l sent it to him to watch with his fellow novices and priests. It is now a film that they can add to their media library. God bless you for unknowingly having a hand in this humble gift!!!!
