Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 2,0, Ruprecht-Karls-Universitat Heidelberg (Germanistisches Seminar), Veranstaltung: Kulinarisches in Literatur und Sprache, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Als Kinder haben wir Marchen gehoert und unsere Fantasie hat uns erlaubt, alles anzunehmen, was dort geschildert wurde. Wir haben uns keine Gedanken daruber gemacht, was und warum Marchen so sind, wie sie sind. Als Ziel fur diese Arbeit habe ich den Bereich des Essens in Kinder- und Hausmarchen von Brudern Grimm gewahlt, um herauszufinden, warum Phanomene wie Essenschilderungen oder das Gefressenwerden dort uberhaupt Platz gefunden haben. Als Erstes schildere ich die im Marchen am meisten auftauchenden Marchenfiguren, die durch ihre Grausamkeiten oder auch nicht, besonders hervorstechen. Der Wolf, die Hexe und die Stiefmutter waren meine Favoriten in dieser Arbeit. Das Thema der Grausamkeit im Marchen liess sich nicht umgehen, weil dieser Bereich auch heute noch von den Marchenforschern und Kinderpsychologen am meisten diskutiert wird und verdient, meiner Meinung nach, auch in dieser Arbeit erwahnt zu werden. Solche Marchen wie Von dem Machandelboom erschrecken uns mit ihren von uns als grausam geglaubten Inhalten - ob dem so ist, wird in dieser Arbeit kurz dargestellt. Um am Thema Essen zu bleiben, untersuche ich das Hunger-Motiv mit allen seinen Erklarungen und Rechtfertigungen. Und fand, letztendlich, dass einige Situationen im Marchen Hansel und Gretel einiges dazu beitragen koennen. Am Ende meiner Arbeit beschaftige ich mich mit den Wirkungen solcher Marchen auf die Kinder, wobei von ihren Gefuhlen der Angst ausgegangen wird.
